NOTICE TO: VTEC Home Solutions, LLC (“VTEC”) c/o Kewanna Poole (“Poole”)
You (VTEC and Poole) are hereby notified that a Complaint has been filed against you in the case referenced above.
Summary of the Complaint:
This complaint was filed by Marvin Lee Maiden, the personal representative of the estate of Mary C. Lipscomb (the deceased).
The defendants are: VTEC, Poole, and Patsy Maxey.
The key allegations are:
- Mary C. Lipscomb was the owner of a property in Montevallo.
- In early 2023, while Lipscomb was suffering from dementia, a deed was executed transferring the property to VTEC.
- Plaintiff alleges that Lipscomb lacked the mental capacity to execute this deed, and that Maxey and Poole exerted undue influence over Lipscomb.
The Plaintiff requests the following relief:
- A declaratory judgment that the deed is void or voidable
- Equitable relief to quiet title in the name of the estate for the deceased
- Compensatory damages
You (VTEC and Poole) are required to respond to the Complaint within thirty (30) days after the last publication of this Notice, which last date of publication will be February 11, 2026.
Failure to do so may result in a judgment by default for the relief demanded in the Complaint.
