HEARING
In accordance with Section 11 of Act No. 82-693 of the Legislature of Alabama, as amended, the Shelby County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday. April 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Community Room of the Shelby County Services Building, 1123 County Services Drive, Pelham, AL 35124, for the purpose of taking action on the following case:
SD26-001 – The Town of Mt Laurel Special District – Amended Master Plan
This is a request from Nick Dawson, on behalf of EBSCO Development Company, Inc., property owner, for approval to amend the Town of Mt Laurel Special District Master Plan to remove approximately
175.5 acres of property located along the ridgeline of Double Oak Mountain from the Mt Laurel Master Plan for the sale and conveyance to the Alabama Forever Wild Land Trust for public conservation that includes hiking and mountain biking trails. The subject property is zoned SD Special District (Mt Laurel) and located east of Downing Drive running parallel along Double Oak Way in the Mt Laurel development. [Parcel IDs
