PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING

In accordance with Section 11 of Act No. 82-693 of the Legislature of Alabama, as amended, the Shelby County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Community Room of the Shelby County Services Building, 1123 County Services Drive, Pelham, AL 35124, for the purpose of taking action on the following case:

SD26-002 – EBSCO Rezoning from SD (Mt Laurel) to SD (Forever Wild Land Trust)

This is a request from Nick Dawson, on behalf of EBSCO Development Company, Inc., property owner, for approval of a change in the zone district boundary of approximately 175.5 acres from SD Special District (Mt Laurel) to SD Special District (Forever Wild Land Trust) for public conservation of the property by the Alabama Forever Wild Trust that will include hiking and mountain biking trails. The subject property is zoned SD Special District (Mt Laurel) and located east of Downing Drive running parallel along Double Oak Way, presently in the Mt Laurel development. [Parcel IDs 58-09-1-02-2-001-001.001 (part); 58-09-1-02-0-000-001.001 (part); 58-09-1-02-0-000-001.002 (part); & 58-09-2-03-4-001-011.000 (part)]

All persons shall have an opportunity to speak in support of or in opposition to this case.
