NOTICE FOR SERVICE BY PUBLICATION
TO: Elizabeth R. Howell; Dallas Land #4; Elbert Lee Gibbs; Barry S. Phillips, Sr.; Dale Curry; and Jacob Tidmore, in his capacity as Shelby County Tax Collector; and all of their heirs, assigns, devisees, and beneficiaries, if deceased, whose whereabouts are unknown and which cannot be ascertained after the exercise of reasonable diligence, and any and all unknown party or parties claiming any right, title, or interest in and to the following-described real property as described in said Complaint.
You are hereby notified that on the 17th day of September, 2025, a Complaint to Quiet Title in rem was filed in the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Alabama, and the following are the names of all parties to the action: Plaintiff is J. Felix Arteaga Pardo, and Defendants are Elizabeth R. Howell; Dallas Land #4; Elbert Lee Gibbs; Barry S. Phillips, Sr.; Dale Curry; and Jacob Tidmore, in his capacity as Shelby County Tax Collector; and all of their heirs, assigns, devisees, and beneficiaries, whose addresses are unknown to the Plaintiff, and any and all unknown parties, including any persons claiming any interest therein, or who may claim any interest in following-described property, whose whereabouts are unknown and which cannot be ascertained after the exercise of due diligence, and who are believed to claim some right, title, interest, or claim in and to the property described:
Lots 1 and 2, Block 7, according to the Survey of North Legion Heights, being situated in the NW Quarter of the NW Quarter of Section 30, Township 18, Range 2 East, Sterrett, Shelby County, as recorded in Map Book 3, Page 70, in the Probate Office of Shelby County, Alabama.
Said property having a parcel ID# of
05-9-30-0-001-037.001 All persons having an interest in said land or any portions thereof, claiming any title thereto or any encumbrance or lien thereon, are hereby directed to plead, answer, demur or otherwise respond to the Complaint on or before the 12th day of August, 2026, else at the expiration of 30 days thereafter suffer judgment by default to be rendered against them, it being intended that this notice shall be used to perfect service against all parties who cannot be personally served with a copy of the Complaint.
