PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

The Shelby County Water Services will hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, in the 1st Floor Large Event Space, Room #130, at the 280 County Services Building, 19220 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242, to inform the public about the County’s application for financing from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. This financing is proposed for the construction of an Interim Measure for PFAS Treatment. The purpose of the meeting is to inform of any potential environmental impacts, to gauge public opinion regarding finances, and to solicit comments on the proposed improvements from the affected public.

As part of the application process, an Environmental Information Document (EID) has been prepared. The EID describes and evaluates the environmental impacts of the feasible alternatives. The project’s EID is available for review by the public between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the 280 County Services Building, Ste 101, 19220 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242.
