PUBLIC NOTICE

The Birmingham Racing Commission is currently accepting applications from not for profit organizations in Jefferson and Shelby counties which qualify for distribution of Commission net revenues pursuant to 11-65-36 (e) and 11-65-36 (m), Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended. Any not for profit organization which sponsors conducts or promotes research and education related to the cure of sickle cell anemia or provides treatment or aid to victims of that disease pursuant to 11-65-36 (e) and any not for profit organizations which provide shelter and care for abandoned or abused animals pursuant to 11-65-36 (m) may apply to receive a portion of such net revenues by submitting an application to the Birmingham Racing Commission at the address shown below not later than Friday, November 13, 2026.
